Underdog Sportsbook NC banking options
One of the major drawbacks of Underdog Sportsbook NC is the limited list of banking options. In particular, Underdog will allow you to use a credit or debit card to make a deposit but only if it’s a Visa; surprisingly, Mastercard isn’t accepted.
Apple users will be able to use Apple Pay, but this again handcuffs users on Android devices. PayPal could be an acceptable substitute as it is one of the most commonly used payment tools at online sportsbooks.
Online banking via Trustly is flagged as a “preferred option,” but if you aren’t using Chase, Bank of America, or Wells Fargo, you’ll likely need to use one of the other methods.
Deposits are instantaneous and have a $10 minimum. This same minimum applies to withdrawals unless you have under $10 in your account.
Does Underdog Sportsbook have a retail location in North Carolina?
No, Underdog Sportsbook does not have a retail location in North Carolina. The platform only operates via mobile app, and since Underdog is only operating in NC, it would need to show significant growth in its user base before expanding to offer a retail sportsbook.
As of August 2024, the only in-person sports betting facilities in North Carolina are at the state’s three casinos. The Carolina Hurricanes were launch partners with Fanatics Sportsbook and are looking to add a retail sportsbook to PNC Arena, but no such plans for an in-venue bookie have been finalized yet.
Customer support of Underdog Sportsbook North Carolina
In a similar case to the banking options, the customer support options at Underdog Sportsbook North Carolina are also rather limited. The first option presented is to use the support chat, which begins with a bot to direct your information before eventually giving you the option to converse with a representative.
Despite only operating in North Carolina, we’ve always seen a notice of “Volume is currently higher than usual which may lead to longer than expected wait times” when accessing the chat. Additionally, the chat will not connect to a representative 24/7, so you may need to leave a message for the service team before you can get assistance.
We could not find a posting of the hours when the support team is available, but when testing for this review, we reached out just after 6:00 PM ET. The chat bot responded to let us know the team was “currently out for the day” and that they could “get back to (us) in the morning.”
With this in mind, you may have better luck sending an email message, accessible through the support chat. Your replies from the support chat will not be included in the message, so be as thorough and descriptive as you can when writing your response.
Underdog Sportsbook has not listed a phone number for customer service. You could also try sending a direct message to @UnderdogSportsbook via Twitter/X, but there is no guarantee of a response there.
One area where Underdog could dramatically improve would be to set up FAQ pages that address common concerns. Links to the House Rules and Terms of Service are available but not overly helpful in most cases.
